Simping, the Smallest Island in The World

West kalimantan is aregion with amazing tourism object. From the well-known one, Tugu Khatulistiwa (Equator Monument), and the famous Kapuas River, to the wonderful scenery of its beaches. These all are not including the richness of the culture it has yet.

One of the tourism objects in west kalimantan which is very special and unique is Simping island.
The island which was also known as Kelapa Dua island is in Teluk Mak Jantu’, Sinka Island Park, Singkawang. The thing that makes it special is a fact that this island is the smallest island in the  world. Yes, the smallest Island in the world, and this has been recorded by United Nation.

Simping Island is a narrow land of sand and stones with few couples of trees grow there. In this island there is such a small temple called klenteng where Tiong Hoa (Chinesse) people pray. Beside that, this island also will serve wonderfull scenery of beach, sea, and hills which perfectly soround it. That is why this island is never lack of visitor.

The location of this tourism objeck is easy to reached. It is only about 3-4 hours from Pontianak. To reach the island is not hard, because there is a bridge connecting the island to the side of the beach. You just need to walk for a minute to get in this island. Hmm, are you interested to visit it, aren’t you?
