Pulau Sawi

Here it is, another interesting tourism object: Sawi Island. Sawi Island is a tourism object which is located in Sungai Tengar village, Kendawangan; it is about 80 kilometer from Ketapang. To acsess this object is easy. We can go by bike, car, or bus to Sungai Tengar. From Sungai Tengar, we continue our trip by water transportation such as klotok (a kind of traditional boat) along the beach of Sungai Tengar. After an hour, we will arive in Pulau Sawi.

Bukit Baka


Bukit Baka-Bukit Raya National Park is a conserving area which is located in the heart of Kalimantan. This park is very beneficial in hidrologic; that is as a catchment area of the Melawi river in West Kalimantan and Katingan river in central Kalimantan. Bukit Baka-Bukit Raya National Park is formed of two park: Bukit Baka in West Kalimantan and Bukit Raya in Central Kalimantan.

Niut Mount

Do you know about it?
Niut Mount an old volcanic mountain situated close to the Sarawak. This place is the border between Indonesia and Malaysia in West Kalimantan. This region can be achieved through Sanggau Ledo. The main vegetation type is forest below the mountains, and on the slopes of the lower likelihood Dipterocarpacea forests and forest. Nevertheless there are still some parts that are covered by the lowland forest, where the area is divided into two parts by a forest clearing paths from east to west. Approximately 60% of the area is covered by lowland forest, montane forest above 10% and the remainder by secondary vegetation and shifting cultivation areas. Most of this area is allocated to conservation areas and water catchment areas (70%) the rest is used for shifting cultivation activities.

Kabung Island

It is no exaggeration to Coast Selimpai an exotic beach that was once owned by the northern region of West Kalimantan. The shape of this beach is very unique and the Cape, the land that jutted into the sea. In addition, this beach has a type of vegetation and fauna are rarely found on other beaches in West Kalimantan.

Betung Kerihun National Park


Betung kerihun is located in Putussibau, Kapuas Hulu, West kalimantan. It is located in Betung Mount and Kerihun Mount which are also the border line of Indonesia’s and malaysia’s Region. On September 1995, betung kerihun was determined to  national park by the Ministry of Forestry. Betung Kerihun National Park Covers up to 800,000 hectares area.
In Betung Kerihun National Park, there are more than 48 types of mamals including 7 types of primates; 301 types of birds which consist of 151 genus and 36 family, 15 types of migrated birds, and 24 types of Kalimantan endemic birds; 51 types of amfibia, 52 types of reptilia, 170 types of insecta and 112 types of fish.
